," he said.According to him, this job fair is one of the government's efforts to overcome the unemployment problem in Jakarta. It is hoped that activities like this can reduce the unemployment rate in Jakarta by four percent.
East Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-agency Head, Galuh Prasiwi, stated this job fair is participated by 37 private companies and four work training centers. Those are East Jakarta PPKD, Industrial Development Job Training Center (PPKPI), Welding Development Job Training Center (PPKPL) and Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Service Center (BP3MI).
"This job fair really helps residents who need job vacancies," he stated.
He explained that that during the first implementation at Tamini Square, 1,853 residents were recorded attending the event. Of that number, 553 submitted job applications. Then there were 231 people interviewed and 200 of them were accepted for work.
Meanwhile, Firdaus (28), one of job seekers, admitted this event is helpful for him. It is because job seekers can see directly the profile of the company they are targeting according to their educational background.
"I was really helped by an event like this, I was able to immediately apply for jobs and have an interview. I hope I can get job soon," he admitted.
